Integrated mandrel
Integrated mandrel impeders provide the most economic and efficient method for inner scarfing.
These impeders use a tie rod or internal stainless-steel mandrel which is screwed and fixed for challenging work. The mandrel is surrounded by a single ferrite cylindric rod or group of smaller diameter ferrite rods. The complete set is enclosed with an epoxy-phenolic high temperature casing which protects ferrite and directs the coolant. The hexagonal bushings have internal threads, either metric or SAE and fastening clamps to allow the impeder block in the tow bar.
